Characteristics
Carbon tool steel characterized by adequate hardness of hardening layer, high toughness and very significant insensitivity to hardening cracks. Further the steel is characterized by good ductility at the heat and good workability in the annealed state.
Suitability
For locksmith and assembly tools, tools for woodworking, hardened components of molds, e.g. base plates, cases, columns, stops, suspension components and products etc. Further the steel is appropriate for agricultural, blacksmith and bricklayer tools.

Note
- Cross-sections thicker than 5 mm have a hardening irregular layer and are softer on the surface at hardening into oil.
